Registration for the 2023-24 Church Athletic League Season – Online Registration coming soon – Preference of Return Deadline (for U13, U15 & U18 registrations only) is Sunday August 20th 2023.

The CAL has a “Return to Normal” programming model for the 2023-24 hockey season. Registration fees for the upcoming season have been posted below for each of our house league hockey divisions.
This page will be updated if we receive additional program updates from either the OHF and the OMHA.
It is important to register your player(s) as early as possible. Registration is now open (June 30th). Registering early will not only increase the likelihood that you can secure a spot for your player for the coming season, but it will also allow us to secure the needed ice time to run our hockey programs. Please note:
- We are currently accepting registrations for house league hockey, pre-season skills sessions, and our Panthers/Player Development program. Please note that the online registration program requires a separate registration for each program.
With the U11 & U13 representative hockey tryouts being held in September this year, we understand that some CAL players may be interested in participating. If you would like to protect a spot for your player on their CAL team in the event they are not selected for a representative team, we strongly encourage you to pre-register your player with us prior to the end of August. If their tryout is successful, we can easily cancel their CAL pre-registration at that time.
The fees currently posted are based a return to normal scenario. We are continuing to offer substantial fee reductions for goalies at the U11, U13, U15 and U18 levels.
We will post updates to the website if there are any changes (we are not expecting any changes) as we get closer to the beginning of the season. If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact us by email at CAL Office and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. Access to the Kingston Memorial Centre is somewhat restricted, and the CAL office is tentatively planning to reopen on Monday, August 14th.
The online registration platform was revamped by Hockey Canada last year. There have been a couple of updates over the past year and overall you should be able to manage all of your hockey registrations from your one family account.

While online registration is the preferred option, we understand that it may not work for everyone. If you are registering a player who played in a different organization last year, please contact us by email at CAL Office before attempting online registration and we will assist you with the process. For players who are not able to register online for any other reason, you will need to download and print our Mail-In Registration Form, fill it out completely, and mail it to us at the address on the form. Access to the CAL office is somewhat “Restricted” so paper registrations cannot be dropped off in person until we reopen. Please understand there will be a delay in processing mailed registrations.

U7 (Initiation/Fundamentals Program)

- Learn the fundamentals of hockey on ½ ice shinny format
- Power Skating Sessions with John Boultbee

U8 (Minor Novice)
Fee: $640.00
- Half ice games & 1 team practice per week (weeknights)
- 50 minutes ice time
- Full hockey gear & stick required

U9 (Novice)
Fee: $640.00
- Novice teams play 1 half-ice game per week until Jan. 15that which time they will transition to full-ice games
- Teams have 1 weeknight practice per week

House League Hockey Family Rate:
Deduct $100.00 for third and $200.00 for fourth and additional house league player in one family (discount applies to house league hockey fees only)
