Player Development Program

The Church Athletic League is pleased to confirm that our very popular Player Development (PD) program will begin in early November.  On-ice assessments will be taking place beginning on Friday November 5th. The assessment schedule for each Division can be found below. Our online registration is now open Click Here to Register for the assessments. While it remains to be seen whether a traditional program will be possible this year (i.e., rostered teams, home and away exhibition games, and travel tournaments), the program will continue to focus on opportunities for house league players to improve their skating and hockey skills.

If a traditional PD program is not feasible, either due to OMHA restrictions or a lack of available competition, the program will instead take the form of weekly development sessions, alternating between Friday evenings and Sunday mornings, with experienced coaches selected through an application process.  While the specific details are still being worked out, we expect to be able to offer this opportunity to up to 2 groups of 15 skaters and 2 goalies at each age level between U11 and U18.

We will also offer a development program for U8/U9 aged players.

This program should be starting the first week in November.  More details will be shared with all CAL families as they become available.
